the perspective machine is a suite of tools and services in development by sample & hold to 3D scan, view and re-build real world objects.

the perspective engine is our custom built 3D scanner which is capable of capturing instantaneous 3D scans in high resolution and full colour. Producing head and face 3D scans including instant 3D expressions, it can be used for film, computer game and animation applications. Not only that, the perspective engine can also be used for more unique situations in which standard 3D scanners would struggle such as 3D scanning animals and moving objects.

the perspective viewer is our web based 3D viewer which allows you to explore high resolution 3D models online. It will let you view 3D models complete with colour information, interactive lighting, inter-changeable backgrounds and more. Currently it will work in recent versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari (we are waiting on Microsoft to update elements of Explorer).

Our clients are already using the perspective machine to capture natural expressions for bronze statues, full colour 3D head scans for film and computer games, share museum collections online, decipher archaeological inscriptions and give full 3D previews of 3D scan data to clients before delivery of a job.
